Trivia
The androids in the film are called AA's,
an abbreviation for Audio Animatronics. Audio Animatronics are heavily used in
various Disney attractions, such as the Pirates of the Caribbean, Carousel of
Progress, Hall of presidents and many more. See more »
Goofs
The waterway that the boats ride in
during the ‘it’s a small world’ attraction shows the deeper middle channel (a
deeper cut in the middle of the channel). The original ride at Disneyland (and
the New York World's Fair) had no such channel.
User Reviews
Why are these retards allowed to
plunder Disney's legacy?
Some fantasy off the wall shows work very well. Roger Rabbit was
excellent, Cats was brilliant. Xanadu was boring for me. Even the music was
so-so at best. I don't know if anything could have saved it. It lacked cohesion
and it felt phony. George Clooney smiled too much - as if he was trying too
hard to convince himself he liked what he was doing. Hugh Laurie was
superficial. He gave no real sense that his character's feeling were real or
even that he had any feelings besides some attitude. Other people liked it, so
if you are interested try it. You've got nothing to lose but your childhood.
Pointless, plot less, gratuitously filled with PG13 violence. Lacking in any of
the charm, sensibility, playfulness of the the book or even the other films.
The disco age was coming to a close and people wanted to try and jump on the
train one last time. This was a train wreck. The acting is HORRIBLE, the
storyline feels like it came off a 70's assembly line and is full of that 70's
TV feeling kitsch. It's just really bad, but if your looking for a movie that
is so bad it's good-look somewhere else because this is just bad.
